5the Annual 0.5K Micro Marathon

Circle Brewing Co. is welcoming back the 0.5K for the 5th year in a row. Whether you're a beer fan, a running fan, or both, the 0.5K has proven to be an event that Austinites don't want to miss! We've teamed up with the American Heart Association to support their mission to improve the lives of all Americans, envisioning a world free of heart disease and stroke.

If your metrics conversions aren't firing on all cylinders, a 0.5K is 1,640 feet. This micro marathon race takes place at the brewery, in our oversized parking lot. All runners are divided into heats, and each runner is given 2 pints of beer with a fill line to hold while running. Spill below the line during your run and you're disqualified! Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each heat, with a final heat to find the fastest and most careful runner of the day.

Swing by the Waterloo Sparkling Water's Hydration Station after your heat for complimentary water!

Delicious food available from Garbo's Lobster Truck and ice cream from Vice Cream!

Register for your runner or spectator's packet today and enjoy a uniquely Austin event!

In 2010, Circle Brewing Co. was founded by childhood friends Ben Sabel and Judson Mulherin. We began with little money and an over-abundance of passion. With some help from our friends and family, we pooled the money to retain a lease and start construction on the brewery in March of that year. After a long and grueling buildout, a few equipment delays, and a combination of good and bad luck, we brewed our first batch of beer on December 9th, 2010, our ENVY Amber.

Our brews embody the concept of purity through simplicity of design. You won't find chemicals, stabilizing or clarifying agents, cheap additives or adjuncts, or even gimmicky fruits or spices in any of our brews. At Circle, we embrace the German Purity standards of 1516 and strive to continually brew better beer with it in mind. For us, the circle is a symbol of perfection in its most basic form. We share that perfection with you in every pint of Circle.
